Update on YouData and my E-cigarette.

Ok...today was my first day trying out YouData and I made $4 in about 10 minutes looking at ads...the weird thing is that I actually found alot of them interesting to me and I almost ordered something from one of the sites because I liked it so much. I also received my e-cigarette today and I am totally blown away by this device. It works exactly as the videos described and I let a few other long time smokers try it today and they were impressed as well. Anytime I felt the urge to smoke this afternoon I just pulled out my Njoy Npro Electronic Cigarette and puffed on it and stuck it back in my pocket. It has a hint of a tobacco taste and I was completely satisfied while (I almost said smoking it...but the truth is...you aren't smoking) inhaling and exhaling the nicotine vapor. Tim Wilson Show was Hilarious!

I had the best day yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day so Brian and I headed to Lowes and bought all of the necessary items for building my chicken coop. Then we came home and were successful in getting it framed up and under roof. I enjoyed being outside doing a project in the sunshine!!! Then before we knew it some of our friends were here and we were hanging out enjoying a few cold ones. Then Brian and I got cleaned up and went to town. We enjoyed a scrumptions dinner at State Line Bar and Grille. Then we headed to the Paramount Theater for the Tim Wilson show. We had perfect seats right up front and let me tell you that I have not laughed that hard in years!!!! A comedian named Stewart Huff opened for Tim. This guy was a total riot! I didn 't think it could get more funny...then Tim came out and blew us away! Above is just an example of one of his songs. His songs are funny but if you get a chance to see his stand up show don't miss it! It's AWESOME!

Have you ever wanted to send someone something across the miles and get it there on the same day but didn't want to send the usual flowers from a florist or have to pay excessive expediting fees? That's the situation I found myself in this morning. You see my Mom is recovering from surgery at a hospital 2 hours away and I had already sent flowers and wanted to send something else something she could acutally get use out of. It was 8am when I placed the order and by 9:45 it was out for delivery and by 10am my mom had her gift looking exactly as pictured and I was told it was a huge fruit basket.

An update on Mom...her knee replacement surgery went very well yesterday, the Doc ended up doing a full knee replacement instead of a partial. When I talked to her yesterday after surgery she sounded amazingly well. Then when I called this morning my Stepfather informed me that she had a really rough night battling the pain. She was sleeping earlier when I called. He advised that the physical therapist would be in around 10am to get her up. When I called at 12pm she had been up and walked outside her room and to a chair and then back to bed and that's when she got nauseated. I was able to talk to her at that time and she sounded very groggy...of course she is on a morphine pump and pain pills as well. It was so hard for me to hear that she had a bad night. I don't want to hear that my Mom is in pain I can't stand that. I will be leaving work early tomorrow morning and making a trek up there to the hospital. I have to see her and make sure she's ok. I will be staying with her next week when her husband goes back to work. I have everyone here praying for her speedy recovery!

Baby Chicks were a big hit at Easter!!

Easter was very nice this year...we enjoyed church services Easter morning and then went by Dad's for a bit to visit, then we headed to Brian's parents house where we had a lovely dinner with Mike & Susan. After dinner Susan and Betty convinced me to take my new baby chicks down so that Mamaw (who happens to love chicks and chickens and used to raise them) could see them. So we did and she had a fit...she calls them diddles. She is almost 90 years old and can no longer raise her own but this was the next best thing. I haven't seen her that tickled in along time. She played and played with the little chicks...so did all of the kids who were there. I also enjoyed looking through her old pictures with her, Susan, Betty and Sandra and listening to Mamaw tell us who all the people were in these old black and whites. We had a delightful time. Later when we got home my sister and her family came by and Noah got his first glimpse of my new babies. He was in awe. He was so good with them and would just sit and watch them scratch and peep and eat and sleep. It was a really cool Easter Sunday!

I just had to give props to my brother Ed this week who caught an awesome brown trout out of Boone Lake over the weekend. It was 28 inches long and 11 lbs. He even made Johnny Wood's weekly Fishing Report on WCYB his wife Kristina sent in the picture. Congratulations Ed...nice fish!!

Woot Woot!!! Pat's Bday is here!

Giving a big shout out to our good buddy Pat today is his special day! Tonite we went to PMS (Prillhart Motor Speedway) where Ryan and myself whooped up on the competition! Woot woot!!! We had an absolute blast. We enjoyed some cherry limeade and McD's tea and assorted beverages and some delish Johnny Brusco's Pizza. Yummo as Rachael Ray would say! Hell the Bee Gee's even showed up! It was awesome a definate night to remember! We love u Pat! Happy Birthday!

Spring Fever Car and Tractor Show in Greeneville, TN

On Sunday Brian and I took a road trip to Greeneville, TN for the Spring Fever Car and Tractor Show. This show was of a private collection of antique cars, trucks, tractors and antique farm equipment owned by one gentleman. For this weekend only he opened the doors of the Circuit Systems building to showcase his collection. It was AMAZING!!!! This man owned enough stuff to fill up the whole factory floor. We had never seen so many antique and mostly original tractors and cars in one place. He also had some new stuff...I had 116 pics so there's no way I could share them all but here are just a few.

Awesome Concert...Love Papa Roach!!!

Had a blast with Shawn and Charity last night at the Papa Roach concert in JC. I have to say it was one of the longest concerts I've been to in a long time 4 bands total. It was great! My faves were Papa Roach and Buck Cherry! Had to use the camera phone sorry for the not so great images. Thank you Shawn for the ticket, love ya girl! Just had to share this with my readers. I know some of you either suffer with some sort of pain or know someone who does. My husband suffers from chronic pain due to degenerative disk disorder and because of this condition he has nerve damage which causes the muscles in his body to spasm. He has tried everything to eleviate his pain but has finally found something that actually works. Please share this with anyone you know that is in any kind of pain. It is well worth the $30 it costs for a bowen treatment. The only thing my husband regrets is that he didn't know about this sooner. It has really changed his life. City of Elizabethton is STUPID!!!!

Every Saturday night during the warm months my family would jump in car and drive 30 minutes down the road to the small town of Elizabethton to the Carter County Car Club's weekly show. Makes no sense to me what so ever. Here is a small downtown area, which is indeed beautiful but you don't see a lot of people visiting the businesses on a daily basis. They had a show that came to the area every Saturday night and the streets and sidewalks were full of people, people who were visiting the shops, restaurants, and spending money. This weekly event even drew the attention of a national television show when Dennis Guage from "My Classic Car Show" came to the area last summer to showcase this area. So they decide to tell the car club that they can't hold the event there every Saturday any longer...they will be limited to one Saturday per month. So the Car Club decided to move the location to a business that would allow them to meet outside every Saturday. I don't blame the Car Club however the City of Elizabethton's so called officials need their heads checked they are STUPID!!!

Race Time in Tennessee!

It's race time again here in East TN and I am geared up for all the BMS has to offer today. Get the family and head out to the track and support BMS. Also if you go by the Pit Row Liquor on Hwy. 394 around 1:30pm today you can buy a bottle or a case of Junior Johnson's Midnight Moon Shine and he will autograph it for you. I did this last time the race was in town and he signed two bottles for me and it was such a privilege to meet the legend himself.

A Visitor

I had the best time this week with my Mom, Sister, Neice, Nephew and Son when my mom came down to visit from West Va. on Tuesday and Wednesday. We always enjoy having her here and I'm always super sad when she gets in her car and leaves town again. For those of you who are lucky enough to have your mother's living close by you don't consider it a nuisance...count your lucky stars!!!

Sunday drive

Today Brian and I took off on a drive over to the Walker Mtn. area, we used to go for endless drives there when we were dating. When Brian was growing up they would have Wagon Train activities in that area as well. I love the scenery and had to share some of the pics I snapped. I was really excited to have caught a red tail hawk flying around...see if you can find it. I love the green rolling hills and magestic red barns, I even got up close and personal with a longhorn bull. There's also a pic of a little graveyard at the base of the mountain. It's really neat because if you look all the way to the right hand side of the picture there's a little bench to sit on. I just think it's nifty.
