Frampton Concert at The Biltmore...Ah YES!!

We are truly blessed to have been able to experience this.  If you EVER have the opportunity to see a sunset outdoor concert at The Biltmore Estate don't miss it.  I had tickets since March to see Peter Frampton live and I am so glad we did.  Folks this venue is the BEST ever.  Just look at this last picture, sunsetting over the Pisgah Nat'l Forest, The Biltmore House behind us, wine, food, a wonderful crowd and one epic guitarist and his band entertaining us.  Who could ask for more.  So glad my little Sis and Ed were able to join us for this once in a lifetime experience!!!

Zmax Dragway Charlotte NC ROCKED!!!

 My sweet hubby and I were given 6 free tickets to attend the ADRL races and we made a last minute decision to travel to Concord/Charlotte North Carolina and spend a couple of days watching the races, shopping at the fabulous Concord Mills Mall, and spending time with our friends Silas and Melanie.  We couldn't have asked for a better weekend.  Our King Suite at the Courtyard Marriott next to the track was fabulous and only cost us $99 per night, the food at the Steak and Lube & Sticky Fingers was fab.  The ADRL races were CRAZY, with track temps hovering around 130 degrees the cars were fast, loose and the closest racing I've ever watched.  We love going to the round track at Charlotte and now Zmax Dragway ranks right up there with Thunder Valley for this girl. Bonus...on the way home we got to stop by the headquarters of one of the hubby's favorite channels...Speed TV.  Ya gotta love weekends like this.

Folly Beach & Charleston Vacay 2012

20 lbs gone baby!!!

I can't say enough about HomeAway.com and their fabulous vacation rentals...I managed to land a sweet deal on a superb condo right on Folly Beach next to Tides Hotel, smack dab in the middle of where it's all happening!  Loaded up the fam and spent a week having ourselves a blast.  Several highlights included of course frolicking in the ocean, chillaxing at the Tides Beach Bar, exploring all of the quaint little shops & restaurants on Folly my favorite being The Shrimp Company and Taco Boy definitely a must if you're ever on Folly and spending a day in Charleston exploring and eating at Hyman's Seafood Restaurant.  No kidding THE best seafood in that area and I got to sit in the same spot where Oprah Winfrey sat, other notables who dined at our table were Kevin Costner, Danny Glover, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick among others, a really great experience there.  We were also fortunate enough to tour Patriot's Point where we explored the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Yorktown, a cutter ship and a submarine.  To end a perfectly amazing trip our last night was spent enjoying the music of THE Folly Beach Bluegrass Society who were FANTABULOUS!!!  Couldn't have asked for more on this trip!

Another Win for Brian At Struttin In The Ruts Mud Bog

Well with the addition of Brian's new F250 Turbo Diesel we were able to haul the old Ford F150 with it's 44's to the Struttin In the Ruts Mud Bog in Surgoinsville, TN and once again my hubby took home 1st place in the Modified Division.  We had a wonderful time with several family members definitely a night to remember!!  Congratulations Brian!

4th Of July Fun!!

The 4th of July is always a big deal around our house, this year we enjoyed an awesome picnic in the park on Sunday & Tuesday night we had friends over.  We always go to our town's 4th of July parade and this year was no different...well yes it was.  This year we drove Brian's new truck in the parade and had a fabulous time doing it.  So many people we knew hollered at us and we waved and hollered back.  I loved watching the expression on my husband's face as people commented on how much they LOVED the truck.  It was cool to get a different perspective of the parade as well.  We enjoyed time with the family and watching fireworks from the back deck.  This holiday is just one of the many reasons I love summatime!!

Little Charlee Girl

At the stroke of midnight on May 1st I got to witness this precious little girl come into this world and ever since I have been wrapped up!  It's so hard to believe that she is now over a month old and swimming in my pool and hot tub, and also having lunch with us downtown.  Love little Charlee girl and her Momma.

Mt. Carmel Tennessee Mud Bog Struttin In The Ruts

Ok this ones for all our fellow Mud Boggers out there who are constantly checking my website....Yes we've been this year but not with our truck yet.  The 44's are on it though and now the new steering and shocks...Our truck is TALL now!!  Pic in a minute but this time we talked one of my oldest high school friends into taking his Dodge which he's made a few mods to this year.  He did it all right too...spent some money on it.  Still stock stuff though.  Anywho...he gave it a few runs and almost made it out...I think if he would have run one more time he would have.  Not bad huh.  Ok here's Brian's rig...mud ready now on 44 inch Super Swampers baby!!  I drove this truck when I was pregnant with our son 19 years ago then it had 33's...glad it wasn't this high then!
