This past Saturday was a HAPPY DAY for my beautiful niece and all of those who support her & her new husband. The day got off a little bit rocky due to a deluge of snow that fell quickly and beautifully that morning, but what a better way to have a WHITE WEDDING in January. Taylor was gorgeous in her dress and permanent smile her groom very dapper in his tux. I am proud to be this young lady's Aunt. She, like myself is sometimes misunderstood, but she has a good heart, is intelligent and beautiful inside and out. Here's to Taylor's new life, with her new husband, may those smiles be on her face forever and ever, Amen.

Me doing what I love
I cannot believe it's been 6 months since my last post. So many things changed in mine & my husband's lives since then. Reflecting back neither of us would have ever imagined these things would take place. Some typical life changes, others, well if I told you, you would swear I was lying. Life goes on though. Brian and I have made some huge discoveries, learned so much about ourselves, how strong our marriage is, how little we can depend on other people whom we've supported in the past, how our faith in God has evolved and most importantly we've discovered that together WE WILL ADAPT AND MOVE ON STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!!! Brian and I have been in love since 1989 so we had some professional photos taken, I've thrown some of those in, we ventured off on our own for the Thanksgiving holiday, best Thanksgiving EVER, then we spent Christmas with my family. We've been out exploring & hiking in the mountains, gone to some BMS races & spent some time enjoying watching our son play the guitar at some local venues. I hope to get back in the habit of updating you, I should have some mud bog pictures for those readers as well.

Bristol is Thinking Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
From White to Pink Bulbs for October |
As you all know or should know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ladies make sure you get those ta-tas checked. Bristol decided to be AWESOME this year and change the Historical Bristol Sign's light bulbs from white to Pink. You may find out more by visiting the www.realwomenpickpink.com website.
I am fortunate to be able to say that my MOM is a two time breast cancer survivor and one of my best childhood friends Kristy is a survivor as well. Pictured above is my friend Kim, a survivor, who attended the ceremony with her mother, also a survivor. We all know someone affected by this disease. So of course I sponsored two of the pink bulbs in honor of my loved ones, those funds will go to more research. After finding my honoree's names on the big banners, a touching ceremony was held inside the historic train station, while people lined both sides of State Street and Martin Luther King Blvd. there was a count down to the big reveal...A PINK BRISTOL SIGN!!! Camera flashes went off everywhere!! It was truly a historic moment that I will never forget. Great job Bristol for Thinking PINK this month.
